This year, we are deeply honored to welcome Venerable Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche as the principal retreat master, joined by Drikung Khenpos and Lamas. During the retreat, Rinpoche will offer profound teachings on โA Precious Garland of the Supreme Pathโ by Lord Gampopa โ a luminous guide for those treading the path to enlightenment.

Ven. Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche will be leading a programme on 28 July 2025 to commemorate Buddha Shakyamuni's First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma. The event will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Singapore Time) and is being held in conjunction with H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche's Birthday Celebration.
Chokhor Duchen is a significant occasion that marks the anniversary of Shakyamuni Buddha's first Dharma teachings. After attaining enlightenment, the Buddha refrained from teaching for seven weeks. However, on this auspicious day, Indra and Brahma presented a Dharmachakra (Wheel of Dharma) and a conch shell to Shakyamuni, urging him to begin teaching. Accepting their request, Buddha Shakyamuni turned the Wheel of Dharma for the first time in Sarnath, India, teaching the Four Noble Truths.
Participating in meritorious activities on Chokhor Duchen is considered highly auspicious, as the effects of any virtuous action are multiplied 100 million times. Therefore, all Dharma friends are warmly invited to join the program and take part in this special commemoration.

Saka Dawa is one of the most sacred months in the Tibetan Buddhist calendar. It celebrates the birth, enlightenment, and Parinirvana of Buddha Shakyamuni. Any virtuous acts performed during this month are believed to be multiplied 100 million times. This makes it a powerful time to engage in positive actions and deepen your spiritual practice.
In 2025, Saka Dawa falls in the fourth Tibetan month, from 28 May to 25 June. The full moon day, known as Saka Dawa Duchen, is the holiest day of the month and occurs on 11 June.
All Dharma friends are warmly invited to join this sacred gathering to accumulate and dedicate vast merit on this auspicious day.

Ven. Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche will be leading the 12th Thousand Armed Chenrezig Nyungne Retreat from 8th to 10th March 2025 (3 days, 2 nights), which is open for both stay-in and online participation.
The Nyungne Retreat is an austere practice of fasting based on the supplication to Lord Chenrezig in his thousand-armed form. This practice is known to be a powerful method for karma purification, merit accumulation, pacifying obstacles on the path to enlightenment, and enhancing one's spiritual advancement.
The Retreat was revealed by Gelongma Palmo, who was believed to be a princess of Oddiyana before renouncing the palace and becoming a fully ordained nun. Despite being extremely learned and endowed with extraordinary beauty, she was later afflicted with the dreadful disease of leprosy.
However, through rigorous and intensive ascetic practices of fasting, recitations, and meditation on Avalokiteshvara, she was able to cure her leprosy and become a great siddhi.

The Nyungne Retreat is a two-and-a-half-day practice that revolves around mantra recitation, prostration, and meditation on the Eleven-faced, Thousand-armed Chenrezig. The word Nyungne can be translated as "abiding in the fast."
On the first day of the retreat, at early dawn, the master will bestow The Eight Precepts (Sojong), which restores (so) all positivities and purifies (jong) all negativity. After receiving the precepts, all participants are encouraged to focus their body, speech, and mind on prostration, mantra recitation, and meditation.
Participants are permitted to have one vegetarian meal (without garlic and onions, etc.) by midday on the first day. After that, no solid food is allowed, although drinking is still permitted.
The second day of the retreat is the actual fasting day, during which one must continue the practice without food or drink for 24 hours, strictly observing the Eight Precepts and refraining from talking. The fasting period ends at early dawn on the third day, followed by traditional rituals of making offerings and prayers.
During the retreat, the recitation will be conducted in Tibetan, English and Vietnamese.

Other than schoolchildren and students, we welcome all dharma friends who wish to receive blessings from Lord Manjushri, the embodiment of all buddha knowledge and wisdom, traditionally depicted with a sword in his right hand and a text in his left.
In Mahayana Buddhism, Manjushri is the bodhisattva of wisdom and is one of the most important deities in Mahayana tradition. He represents the wisdom of prajna, which is not confined by knowledge or concepts.

Ven. Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche will be leading a programme on 9 July 2024 to commemorate Buddha Shakyamuni's First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma. The event will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Singapore Time) and is being held in conjunction with H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche's Birthday Celebration.
Chokhor Duchen is a significant occasion that marks the anniversary of Shakyamuni Buddha's first Dharma teachings. After attaining enlightenment, the Buddha refrained from teaching for seven weeks. However, on this auspicious day, Indra and Brahma presented a Dharmachakra (Wheel of Dharma) and a conch shell to Shakyamuni, urging him to begin teaching. Accepting their request, Buddha Shakyamuni turned the Wheel of Dharma for the first time in Sarnath, India, teaching the Four Noble Truths.
Participating in meritorious activities on Chokhor Duchen is considered highly auspicious, as the effects of any virtuous action are multiplied 100 million times. Therefore, all Dharma friends are warmly invited to join the program and take part in this special commemoration.

We would like to invite you to participate in the Sang Smoke Offering Puja, which will be conducted by Venerable Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche on 22 June 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm SGT. We encourage all Dharma friends to join us in this purification practice and to make offerings together.

The Sang Smoke Offering is a purification practice that helps remove impurities from the mindstreams of practitioners and all sentient beings. As we perform the puja, we also practice generosity by offering to all the invited guests. The physical ritual involves burning different woods and incense, along with various substances such as five colored beans and brocades, as described in the practice texts.
During the practice, we will invoke the "Four Guests." First, we will invite the guests of veneration, which include the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma and Sangha) and the awakened manifestations of the Three Roots (Lama, Yidam and Dakini). Then we will invite the guests of qualities of the Oathbound and wisdom protectors, followed by the guests of compassion, which include the beings of the six realms. Lastly, we will summon the guests with whom we have a connection of karmic debt.
The recitation will be in Tibetan, English, Chinese and Vietnamese.

The Qing Ming Festival is a traditional Chinese festival where people pay respect to their ancestors and deceased relatives by sweeping their tombs. As Buddhists, we take this opportunity to practice filial piety and dedicate merits for their liberation.

Ven. Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche will be leading the 11th Thousand Armed Chenrezig Nyungne Retreat from 9th to 11th March 2024 (3 days, 2 nights), which is open for both stay-in and online participation.
The Nyungne Retreat is an austere practice of fasting based on the supplication to Lord Chenrezig in his thousand-armed form. This practice is known to be a powerful method for karma purification, merit accumulation, pacifying obstacles on the path to enlightenment, and enhancing one's spiritual advancement.
The Retreat was revealed by Gelongma Palmo, who was believed to be a princess of Oddiyana before renouncing the palace and becoming a fully ordained nun. Despite being extremely learned and endowed with extraordinary beauty, she was later afflicted with the dreadful disease of leprosy.
However, through rigorous and intensive ascetic practices of fasting, recitations, and meditation on Avalokiteshvara, she was able to cure her leprosy and become a great siddhi.

The Nyungne Retreat is a two-and-a-half-day practice that revolves around mantra recitation, prostration, and meditation on the Eleven-faced, Thousand-armed Chenrezig. The word Nyungne can be translated as "abiding in the fast."
On the first day of the retreat, at early dawn, the master will bestow The Eight Precepts (Sojong), which restores (so) all positivities and purifies (jong) all negativity. After receiving the precepts, all participants are encouraged to focus their body, speech, and mind on prostration, mantra recitation, and meditation.
Participants are permitted to have one vegetarian meal (without garlic and onions, etc.) by midday on the first day. After that, no solid food is allowed, although drinking is still permitted.
The second day of the retreat is the actual fasting day, during which one must continue the practice without food or drink for 24 hours, strictly observing the Eight Precepts and refraining from talking. The fasting period ends at early dawn on the third day, followed by traditional rituals of making offerings and prayers.

Ven. Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche will conduct a 2-day Lunar New Year and Losar Celebration on 8 and 10 February 2024, dedicated to dispelling obstacles and seeking blessings for an auspicious and harmonious Year of the Dragon.
On 8 February, from 7 pm to 9 pm SGT, a Mahakala Dogpa and Achi Chokyi Drolma Obstacles Dispelling Puja will be conducted to eliminate negativity and overcome obstacles lingering from the previous year. Rinpoche will preside over the Puja, invoking blessings and seeking protection from Dharma Protectors for all participants.
Join us for a Lunar New Year Celebration on 10 February, from 9 am to 11 am SGT. The event will include offerings of Khata to His Holiness and H.E. Garchen Rinpoche, as well as Lama Chopa and Tsok Offering, Tea Offering Prayer, Lamp Offering Prayer, White Dzambala Prayer, and more.

The 18th Two-Day White Tara Retreat is scheduled to take place on 31 December 2023 and 1 January 2024, from 9 am to 6 pm at the Drigar Thubten Dargye Ling centre. The retreat will be guided by Ven. Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche.
His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche has extensively expounded on the advantages of White Tara practice. White Tara, a revered figure practiced by all four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism, has been the primary deity for many renowned Buddhist scholars and Siddhas in India and Tibet. Among these luminaries are Nagarjuna and Atisha. White Tara's unique purpose is to foster longevity, peace, prosperity, and health through her enlightened activities, benefiting both the practitioner and others.
