About 100 Million Ami Dewa Recitation Retreat
According to the enlightened intention of H.E. Garchen Rinpoche, every year, practitioners engage in the 100 Million Amidewa Mantra Recitation Retreat to accumulate the six-syllable mantra of the Buddha Amitabha.
The primary purpose of this retreat is to liberate all sentient beings of the six realms, extending as far as space, from suffering, and establish them in the state of freedom and all-knowingness by relying on the blessings of Buddha Amitabha. In addition, the practice of reciting the Amidewa mantra is believed to dispel all harm caused by the four elements, pacify warfare and disease in the world, and bring peace and happiness. Practitioners hope that through this retreat, all obstacles to the lives of sentient beings will be pacified, and all aspirations will be fulfilled.
According to the heart-pledge and extraordinary aspiration of Buddha Amitabha, all beings with whom practitioners have had a connection will be born in the pure land of Dewachen as soon as they pass from this life, by virtue of this practice.
It is hoped that as many students as possible from around the world will participate in the accumulation of the 100 Million Amidewa Mantra Recitation Retreat and that the goal of the retreat will be achieved together.
