The 18th Two-Day White Tara Retreat is scheduled to take place on 31 December 2023 and 1 January 2024, from 9 am to 6 pm at the Drigar Thubten Dargye Ling centre. The retreat will be guided by Ven. Dorzin Dhondrup Rinpoche.
His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche has extensively expounded on the advantages of White Tara practice. White Tara, a revered figure practiced by all four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism, has been the primary deity for many renowned Buddhist scholars and Siddhas in India and Tibet. Among these luminaries are Nagarjuna and Atisha. White Tara's unique purpose is to foster longevity, peace, prosperity, and health through her enlightened activities, benefiting both the practitioner and others.
The Annual White Tara Retreat is specifically organized for World Peace & Prosperity, the Well-being of all Sentient Beings, the revered gurus, and the longevity of His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche and His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche.
